Saving Faces Family Cycle Day 2011

The 2nd annual Saving Faces Family Bike Ride took place on the 3rd of September 2011. Over 100 people turned out to cycle and more came to cheer on their favourite cyclists. For those taking a break from the cycle track we also had games, art, music and even some impromptu line dancing. Check out some of the action and maybe spot a familiar face or two.

Prof Sir Ian Kennedy on Medical Ethics

Professor Sir Ian Kennedy is Emeritus Professor of Health Law, Ethics and Policy at University College London. In 2009 he chaired the Nuffield Council on Bioethics and is currently Chair of the UK Research Integrity Office, whose remit covers the proper conduct of research in universities and other research organisations. This talk was given on the 8th of July 2011 as part of a research opportunities day oraganised by Saving Faces.

Prof Ian MacKenzie on cancer stems cells

Ian MacKenzie is Professor of Stem Cell Science at the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. This talk was given on the 8th of July 2011 as part of a research opportunities day oraganised by Saving Faces. The aim of the day was to make specialist doctors in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery aware of current research underway in their field and highlight ways in which they could become involved.
